Default Good grad schools for Botany

Hi. Our daughter will be getting an undergrad BS in bio, and we would
like to hear some opinions about various grad school programs for
botany. Would she need to enter a MS program first, or could she apply
straight to a doctorate program? What are some of the better schools in
the US and Canada for botany grad study?

Thanks.
