Default UVC Sterilizers/Clarifiers

Hi. UVC sounds like a great algae control method.
Is it too good to be true?

I have a 200g pond with a 500gph pump & 3-stage filter(internal).
However, it is in direct sunlight for most of the day.

It really works well for algae. I have a 8000 gal. pond and I use only a 25W
UVC. The water is always clear. Before I installed the UVC, the pond would
become completely opaque with algae in just a week. The UVC cleared it up in
just 4 days.
