Default Water Lily Aphid

As the weather has been so hot last couple of weeks. I have been getting a
lot of calls at the nursery about what looks like black fly on waterlilys.

this is Waterlilly aphid. It would be worth checking your ponds as they seem
to appear from no where. Especially if you have plum or cherry trees nearby
( the intermediate host)

If you have then spray with a hose to knock them off and let the fish do the
rest. - you will have to do this a few times.
