I am planning on building a bog garden in my back yard. I read that
some people dig and lay the hole up with cheep lining or they poke holes
into the liner to keep the water drained. I was planning on using a
good heavy liner and NOT making holes at the bottom. My reason being
that eventually I want to use the bog garden as a filter for a future
pond. Any comments????!!!!

I am planning on this myself when I expand in the spring.
Not a bog but a veggie/filter that feeds to the waterfall that feeds the
pond.

Richard,
water lettuce and water hyacinth work great to help keep the water clear.
If you can find a couple at a nursery they will multiply quickly. It will be
probably a month before you find any though.

After reading all the posts, I guess I am also going to build a "Veggie
filter. I just haven't decided on the plants yeat. I think I will go
