Algae Wanted

They put down the
basic black liner and then covered it with a white
felt fabric. The whole thing turned green all the
way up the sides and out of the waterline.

Thanks K-30
I've never seen anything like that here

I'm surprised K30, I go for another of your usual responses.... patience.

Now that I've had a chance to activate the
brain cells I remember more about the program.

The pond was in a Japanese style backyard,
overhung by lots of trees. Very, very green
backyard (I loved it!).
They wanted not to see any of the black liner
and they wanted it to look very Japanese and
green and serene. They had a rock island in the
middle and planted it with a Japanese maple.

The green did grow up the sides and the water
was as clear as crystal. I don't think there were
any fish in it at all - this was just a landscaping
feature.

It was beautiful, if you are into green and serene,
which I am (not that I ever accomplish it...).
