The moderation team announces a change in the location of the
moderation software. This change will cut the cost of moderation from
almost $400 per year to $120 per year...with the result that the
generous donations by rpm members will cover moderation costs
through the end of 2010!

News servers will automatically direct your posts to the new address.
So, if you are posting to rec.ponds.moderated though your news
server, just keep on posting as usual.

If you are emailing your posts directly, the new address to use is:

Thanks for the info, Jim. My check is one of those that never got cashed.
Without the check deposited or in my hand, I can't close out my 2007
checking. As a workaround, I changed the check date in my records to
1/1/2008.

The new service seems a bit more "anal". It sent me a confirmation that
I had sent a message. It was easy enough to opt out of getting those
confirmations, but it took me twice before stopping.

Guess not- it sent me a 3rd. I've done what it told me to do, just reply
w/full text. What do I have to do to have it shut the hell up?

I'm fairly certain it needs you to reply from exactly the same address you
use to post to the newsgroup (I've had this same problem, because I use a
different address for news).
