Yourt message reminded me that our pond has avoided green as well.
Our 4 x 4 veggie filter of water celery seems to have done the trick
for the whole pond. The UV has not been thought of...

The WC is thriving!

Our hyacinth are just sending out some new leaves. This winter was
pretty hard on them. Maybe 15 have made it through. The remainder of
the 4 x 16 surface of hyacinths died! That is a sad record.

Jim

Looks good, and so does the new gazebo covering. Why the netting? What are
the purple flowers blooming already? ~ jan

netting keeps the koi in, the birds out or they would be pooping in the water.
the blue flowers are those aromatic petunias in a basket. they are hard to find and
I just stumbled on a basket at a farm and fleet so snapped it up.

How submerged is the basket? Just barely touching the water surface? ~ jan

The pond is very pretty. We have ours up and running and it is clearing up nicely. How many Koi do you have and what type? We have only three but they are huge.

Lisa
