Titan 800 Fittings?

I'm looking at the Titan 800 pump for a modest waterfall. I am planning
on using 1" kink-free flexible tubing, and I would want a ball value to
throttle down the flow as necessary.

I am wondering what fittings I will need for this setup. A bunch of
fittings can get expensive, and regardless I want to order what I need
along with the pump and tubing.

Also, recomendations on how to do the setup would be good. For example,
where would the ball value usually be located?

Thanks.

If you have a Home Depot or Lowes close, take your pump there and ask a
clerk to help you figure it all out. Always put the ball valve on the
discharge of the pump, never on the intake.

Re 1" hose on a titan 800 pump,

Personally I would use 1.25" or 1.5" hose. You may be surprised with what flow your waterfall will take, I have 1960US gph going over a 14" wide fall and it is by no means excessive. You may be glad of the added flowrate given by the larger than 1" pipe.

HOWEVER take note, in the UK hozelock hosetails are I think metric, ie 19mm, 25mm, 32mm and 40mm, the first three are close enough to the imperial sizes 3/4", 1" and 1.25" for imperial hose to fit but trying to fit 1.5" hose onto a 40mm, 1.57", hose tail is a real SOB. If you get a metric hosetail and use 1.5" hose you may be in for some fun.
