sudden fish deaths and algea dying
 
Hi in the past week i have had about 8 fish dye suddenly no signs of disease, and the algae from sides and bottom is coming off and floating tot he top, it is a well established pond anout 3 years, with air pump running, i ahve treated water for bacteria, and last week did bulk water change, just looked and the algae is starting to come off again.

has anyone else encountered this?

No but when the weather changed some people I know had a problem with blood
showing in the koi's fins. It was some kind of bacterial problem. None of
them died but they did stop eating. There was an unusual amount of some
kind of fluffy algae on the level surfaces of the pond. They drained it,
flushed it and refilled it. They used PotassiumPermanginate twice and the
fish have improved to the point of eating again. Strange things
happen.........
