Excess pond plants
 

These make a very rich compost when mixed with kitchen refuse and ground
leaves raked from the yard. Water hyacinth especially make a nice soft
compost excellent for both flowers and vegetables. If you winter excess
hardy pond plants over they go like crazy at even smaller flea markets!
