Amphibious ethnic cleansing?
 

After importing some frogspawn yesterday into my apparently
frog-bereft pond, I discovered this morning that my
five newts were indulging in a orgy of ethnic cleansing,
systematically devouring all the frogspawn.

Is that to be expected?
