Oak in fishpond

Hi all

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the following?

I would like to make the top of my pond out of untreated green oak
beams.
They are 2.6M long and about 20cm square (extremely dense and heavy).

I am wondering what the liftetime of an untreated green oak beam would
be
when partially submerged to a depth of about 10cm. If it turns out I
need to
treat them, is there any safe treatments that won't upset the fish.

thanks

Andy

Untreated oak is susceptible to rot and worm infestation. Treated wood
might be toxic to aqautic life in your pond.
