Ammo Stones in filter

Has anyone used Ammo stones in their pond filters? We just put them in this
year after I cleaned the pond out and so far the water is crystal clear. I'm
hoping it stays that way.Anyone else have success with them?

Unless you've got ammonia in your pond you shouldn't need them. Test your
water with an ammonia test kit. You should have zero ammonia. Ammo stones
are fine for a new pond starting up to control the ammonia, but if one is
using them constantly as a control, they're a band aide and one should
figure out why they're filtration method is not removing the ammonia. ~ jan
