Default Managing pressurized filter and pump?

Hi. I'd like to know what are some suggested methods of regulating the
in-pond pump water flow to an outside pressurized filter (then to a small
water return feature, a rock drill-hole which is 2' above filter top))?
Hozelock says the filter and pump are matched but I wonder just how the
volume of water to the pump can effectively be controlled to allow the UVC
to do its thing and yet enough water to feed the drill-hole ..but not too
much to make it shoot out.

My old system had a homemade inpond filter box with a 400 gal pump inside.
The hose led out of the pond and up to the rock. With a regulating ball
valve inline the whole works seemed to work alright for an aesthetic water
flow at the rock. But with this new pressurized system I inherited, I don't
know if an inline ball valve will work the same way.

The pond is rather small at only 260 gal. The new pump is Cyprio Titan 550
and new filter is Cyprio Bioforce 500 w/UV.

Appreciate your suggestions. Jack

Hi Jack,

Sorry I don't have any knowledge about this, but wanted to post, welcome to

I kinda did. So, I've moved on and found an answer to my problem somewhere
else. Thanks for replying anyway. Jack
