Fountain types?

Do the Bell fountains clog much less than the three tier fountains? I
imgaine they would, due to the larger 'hole' size. Do they use considerably
more pump?

==============================
Nothing I ever tried clogged as badly as the tiered fountain heads. Those
small holes would clog in a few days. They're only good where there are no
plants or bits of debris to get to the fountain head. A sponge over the
pump intake helps but then the sponge clogs and needs cleaning. :-(

I've only used the bell, and find them hardly any maintenance, except for
the occasional snail crawling thru the stream path. Slime does build up
over time, but they're very easy to pull off and clean. ~ jan

The one I have know only takes a few minutes to hose out, but it needs doing
every couple of days. The Algae plugs those small holes pretty quickly.
