Was asking around if this sounds like it should work. I have an 1100-1200
gal pond, 1200gph pump with a 55gal drum cut in half. each has filter media
in and a uv light. The flow is split between them with a two-way valve. The
design of the filter is kinda like the Skippy that is on the web. Will this
be enough filter? Thanks Paul............

Could be.... depends on what is in the pond. You can run a pond, with lots
of plant, a few fantail goldfish and no filter. ~ jan

Hi Paul - your pond is almost a mirror of mine in size, pump and filter
except my 45 gal barrel is one piece - _ I have 2 koi and about 35 - 45 GF
and no UV - I have clear water within 5 days of starting up my
filter/waterfall in spring - crystal clear within 4 wks every year for 12
yrs now

How many, how big, and what types?

2 easy way to tell if your filter is working is:

1) clarity of water
2) using test kits
