How To build My Homemade Waterfall?

It is time for me to start thinking about making my waterfall and
stream. I don't want to necessarily spend $300 - $400 on a Aquafalls
container so any ideas on how to make something simular? My input
will be 2" pvc and I prefer it to be into the bottom of the falls
unit. Anyone know of any barrel that would work for this function? I
do have an idea that will work (with alot of silicon) but not sure I
could find a container that would be shaped right - much less have a
2" hole in the side/bottom. This waterfall container will not act as
a filter but probably should be able to support a 2' wide falls. Any
waterfall/stream designs would be helpful too.

Thanks Rick

It would help you to by a book or two by Helen Nash where there is
helpful info and pictures. Happy water gardening.

Rick,

I have seen the stock water troughs set at a slight angle for the water to
flow over the front edge. They are being used as upflow filter units that
feed a waterfall.
