OT (Sort of) - Leveling the ground

My wife picked up a pool...I mean pond for our kids...I mean Koi, this week.
It is one of those inflatable 4 feet deep, 14 feet wide poo...uh...ponds.
You put it up in the summer, and let the kid...uh...koi have fun...and then
take it down in the fall. Our neighbors have had them and love them, so we
figured we'd give it a try instead of buying a $600.00 pool pass for the
community pool.

Anyway...the place I plan to put this in yard...is not quite level...I have
no idea how much it is off...let's say a foot tops. What is the best way to
create a level 14 foot circle in the yard...for the poo...uh...pond?

I figured you porgs would have an answer.

The latest neat tool is the laser level. It will also come
in handy for the other swimmers ;-)

Much cheaper then laser level, clear plastic tubing, fastened to a couple
of 1x1 with a foot on each. Fill with dyed water. Set side by side, mark
the water line & go.

onveniently, I just picked one up. It was (horrors!) from one of those "As
Seen on TV!" spam ads, but it's a good price, and quite a nice product...

They said 1-2 weeks delivery, but it came in less than 2 days, UPS Ground!

Oh, no, no no! The new poo...I mean pond is for the kids. Shareholders Pond
is pressing forward just not on schedule. I have been debating liner
materials the past week which has held me up. I think I am going to go with
EPDM since I have Greg Beckel's site to guide me through everything I need.
I am hoping to sneak out of work early tomorrow, so I can cruise up to
pondtechnology.com in Baltimore and pick up some liner. If all goes
well...the pond will be filled by the end of the weekend. *fingers crossed*

Here is the link to his pipeboot, www.geocities.com/bickal2000/pipeboot.htm.
He uses frames, so I am not sure where this sits in the grand scheme of his
site, but you should be able to get to everything else from there.
