Default Another "strange" problem

Thanks to all of you who wrote with great suggestions for my "too much flow"
post from Sunday morning. Now I need your help once again, but this one is
really an odd request: when I got back on my computer this afternoon to
see if anyone had written a response, I got as far as opening a post from
Cybe R. Wizard and read the first few words which were something like "I've
had that problem, too . . ." and just at that point, all the power in my
house went out leaving me staring at a blank screen. For the next 2 hours,
I putzed around outside going nuts wondering if he had posted the solution
to my problem, and not being able to FIND OUT with no electricity! When I
finally DID get back online, not only is my original post gone, but so is
his response to me! I've searched and searched, but for some reason when
the computer shut down, it took away his and my messages. Strange. Having
an obsessive-compulsive personality, I won't rest until I get to finish
reading his reply to me!!!
Thanks in advance. (not having a good day)
Sue

Sue, it appears you are using Outlook Express, so my guess is that the
messages got marked as read, and you can't see them because of that. You can
go to the View menu and select View All, and then sort by date to make the
messages easy to find. If this doesn't work, you could always reset the
group so you get back all the messages, but this will bring back a lot of
old junk, so use it as last resort. To
reset...Tools...Options...Maintenance...Clean Up...

Sue,

Go to http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search and put in the group
as rec.ponds, and author as you. That will bring up all of your posts.
Pick the right thread and select show complete thread. That will show all
of the responses.
