Am trying to source quilt batting, here in Ireland. Is 'wadding' the same
product.
Thanks in advance.

It is a fluffy polyester sheet. I'm not sure if wadding is
loose not in sheet form.

Bonnie is correct. It is used to form the padding inside a quilt. It comes
on rolls of various widths, but 1.5m is about average. Try to find it at a
store which sells textiles for home sewing or craft supplies.

I use this stuff exclusively for my pond filter and it works well. When it
become clogged, just rinse it out and put it back in. I find that it's
effective in filtering out the smallest particles, very inexpensive, and
lasts a year or more.

BTW: Loose polyester often used to stuff pillows will NOT work. You'll just
have a big mess. The rolls/sheets are the only thing that will work for this
purpose.
