seeking ideas I have had two babys die over the last two weeks during
feed time

I see them come up and get food, a few min later they come up seem to
get food but hit it on thier side about 5 or somin later come floating
up dead
I hav e checked to see if the pellet lodged in their throat but cant see
anything

Ideas?

smell the food, is it rancid? if the pellets are sinking and there is a layer of
rotting organics on the bottom they could be scrounging around and get a gill full of
H2S. that can kill em. Ingrid

Maybe they just aren't ready for solid
food? The death is so close to the feeding
that it just might be the case.
Being as koi kibble or whatever isn't what
they would eat in the 'natural' world.
Hope the problem goes away.
