HELP - New frogs
 

Just had two spring peepers morph and the little guys are sitting on a rock.
Now what?

Do they just go back in the water and continue feeding on the lettuce and
cheerios or do I need to find other food for them?

Perhaps I should release them pondside?

BTW I should have mentioned they are now in a 5 gal aquarium on the deck,
with a rock to crawl up on.

Time for them to go as soon as their tails are
absorbed.

Frogs, unlike most tadpoles, are carnivorous. Release them.

Thanks for the responses - I'll let them go when I get home today. Beside
the pond OK? Or in the shallows?

Hmmmm...not good news. As I posted before, I have hordes of tadpoles. Frogs,
toads, don't know which because I haven't met their parents.

Nonetheless, catching a tadpole is one step from impossible. I invited them
to leave in the strongest language, but this form of "releasing" them
apparently doesn't work. They acted as if they weren't even listening to me.

How does one "release" frogs?

I'd put them in the shallows. Good insect
hunting place, then they can decide where to go.
Watch out for them in the lawn if you have those
little 'lawn hoppers', they like those.
