HELP! Goldfish's gonna explode!

Today I noticed one of my goldfish has hundreds of bumps all over its
body. It is also very swollen, looks like it s going to explode!
Is there anything I can do? Is it a desease? If so, is it contageous
to other fish?

TIA

Sounds like Dropsy. Do some research and see if that looks right.

I agree with EJ. Dropsy can be caused by bad water (at least in
aquariums "stale" water is often blamed) so test it to see what's
happening. I'd also get him out of there and put him in a smaller
area where you can better control medications. Don't forget to include
plenty of aeration.
Dropsy is an accumulation of fluid in the body cavity; so add some
salt (1 tsp per gallon minimum) to help him get rid of it. Treat with
an antibiotic like Furanace (I believe it's an Aquatronics brand?).
Dropsy can also be a symptom of something else, like cancer or
internal organ problems. I hate to be Mr. Negative, but it is rarely
curable. Hopefully a good treatment program combined with catching it
early will help! Good luck! =)

It is dropsy. I've got medication today, but the hopes for cure are
slim. I just hope there will not be more cases.
I also need to treat the water with an antibacterial solution for 5
days and after that change half of the water. Yesterday I treated the
water with salt in a ratio of 1pound per 100 gal.

I thank you for taking time to reply. If my fish survives I'll let you
know.

I dont know if you have already but you also need to treat him in a separate
container. Its always good to have a hospital tank anyway. If you dont have
one just go down to Wal Mart they have the 10gal tanks real cheap. Of course
this would also depend on how big your fish was.
