Floating,clumbing algae

My pond is clear, plants are thriving, fish are thriving. I have some string
algae on rocks & sides(I do not mind, looks natural). Each day I get
floating, clumbing, scum algae on the surface. It builds up alot under the
lily pads. The algae clogs the skimmer. Daily I have to skim the pond with a
net to remove. Can someone tell me what I have and how to deal with it.
THANKS,
Tim

clumbing, that's a new one on me ;-)

Didn't we decide that this rise from the bottom type of algae is blue-green
algae?

you may not have sufficient aeration to prevent "bubble algae" from growing. Ingrid

-- i believe so and a couple years ago Rod posted on killing it (google
for Rod Farlee and blue green algae
the only trouble is what kills it kills all algae in the pond( and
tender plants) which can be more of a mess than just netting it out ( we
acidently did this this year and the pond went from nice clear green to
dark brown stayed dark brown for near two weeks till the algae started
growing again

I read this and thought, Bubble algae? Oh no! Because i found some
clear round bubble things in a plant pot. I think they are eggs of
some sort. I looked up bubble algea and this isnt that. I hope it is
anything but goldfish eggs.
