I have a 1000 gallon pond. I would like to clean the silt from the bottom
without draining the water. Any advice is appreciated. Frankie

I never had luck with vac or water hose with bags.
I set up the kiddy pond transfer water catch the fish as I pump out the
water. Clean and flush and scoop.
Refill and count the fish on the way back It takes a fire truck and 3/4 of a
day. We make a yearly family event.

I use a swimming pool vacuum with my filter pump to clean my ponds. I think
it works very well. You can see it here
http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondpage4.html. The leaf basket is from
Aquatic Eco, as is the hose. The vac head is from an old vacuum for the
house.

I'm in the process of building one. Just waiting for the long hose to
arrive. I got tired of messing with the shop vacs and the koi clay
clogging the 'pump out' feature. Thanks for the instructions,
RichToyBox! Really anxious to try it out.

The equipment is best shown in stills, and the only thing that a movie would
add is the ability for everyone to watch me slip, slide, fall and generally
look like a fool.
