Default Help! Need expert quotes ASAP!!

Now, Robyn needs your help! Please!

I wrote an article for Organic Gardening magazine on organic container
water gardens last month for Jan/Feb issue. It's the first time I've been
paid to write or for my animal/fish/or pond info (not including my pond
book which cost me more money than I paid). I thought the work was done.
The editors sent back their draft and now want more work! I'm still
getting over my flu, strep, infected ear and wisdom tooth, and pink eye!
I'm at work even though I can hardly stand! Anyway, one thing I don't
know how to do is get some expert quotes they want. By expert, I mean
someone with a degree in a pond sort of specialty like aquatic biology or
an author of pond books (I wrote a book but that doesn't count). Here
are the quotes they need in their words. Can anyone put me in contact
with an expert ASAP! They need it within DAYS! They don't want the
article to just be what I say. I has to be expert. Any quoted people
would be in print and famous. :-)

1. An academic source quote about how different aquatic plants function
to help create a balanced environment and the role of submerged plants in
cleaning up excessive nitrates.

2. A brief expert quote explaining the three types of algae - string,
surface, and suspended - and the function of potential problems with each.

3. Authoritative quote of a couple of the specific indicators of a
healthy or unhealthy pond.

That's it but aren't those vague! Also, please e-mail to
as this e-mail is being flooded with a large virus
that wastes all my disk space in 1/3 a day and the e-mail may bounce. You
can use this e-mail if it doesn't bounce back to you though.
Thanks! What have I gotten myself into?

How about the Koi Vet?
Anyone have his web address?
Maybe there is someone on Roark's
site.
http://www.click2roark.com/cgi-win/w...tdoc&document=
index2

Or, Robyn, ask them to push it back an issue or
two. Your health is worth more than stressing over this. Then you'll have time
to take it on.

Top-posting because this might not be so helpful.
Can you call around to local or nearby universities? A lot
of times they're happy to help with information (if you can
find the right person) as long as you quote them accurately
and spell their name right.

Also, what about referencing existing pond books that would
have the relevant information in them? I'm not up on
copyright laws, so I don't know how much (if any) you can
quote from other sources. Your publisher should know,
though.

Anyway, good luck!

Oh!
Once I called our state fish and wildlife
dept. for an article on clams and mussles.
I was transfered all over the state (kindof
like a poor man's tour ;-) talked to lots of neat
folks who were very generous with their time
and information. So that might be a good resource
plus they *work* for us...
