Does anyone here WANT fancy guppies?
May I say again "I FOOLISHLY bought a male and female fancy guppy". When
the male died almost immediately and there were only two surviving offspring I just assumed that I could move the male offspring into a separate tank before he got old enough to be a problem. Well that would now be shutting the barn door as I have dozens of baby guppies. AND you would think I would be bright enough to just leave them in the water garden with the parents and thereby eliminate most of the problem but NOOOOO. I had to jump to the rescue of these unbelievably cute tiny little fish and they are now in my 2 gallon tank. They are only about 16th of an inch now but will soon be far bigger than this tank can hold and I'm not about to go out and buy two 50 gallon tanks for guppies (I swear this time I will separate out the males and females the moment they show). I'm just venting... I know all the obvious answers (most of them mean turning these fellows into someone elses snack). DKat "dkat" wrote in message . net... I foolishly bought a male and female fancy guppy for my small water garden to keep down the mosquitoes. I now have to winter them over (well actually winter over Mom and two offspring) and I don't have a clue when I should bring them in, if they have to have filtered water or I can simply change the water on a daily basis (I'm going to have a very small tank by the kitchen sink), etc. They don't eat any of the food I give them that I can see so I don't even know about feeding them. Any help would be appreciated... DKat |
