I can't imagine any of my four cats allowing me to paint

them. OTOH, I
have one who gets in the shower with me every morning and

*loudly*
demands his shower massage time. Hand held shower massage

head set on
deep, pulsating massage all over his body.

Worst part is mopping up the puddles off the floor after

this twenty
pound cat gets out of the shower. Oh yeah, he also pouts

if he doesn't
get his massage. *laugh*

Good..... grief! I've had cats since the 1960s and I've
never had a cat that liked water for anything other than
drinking! I can't even get my cats close to my ground level
pond to watch the fish - no fountain to disturb them. You
have a truly weird cat, Susan. :)

Truly weird, or possibly at least part Siamese. I had a Siamese that
liked to take tub baths with me but hated showers. Considered them
dangerous and propably immoral as well, and would sit outside the shower
stall howling at the top of his lungs until you got done. I tried
grabbing him and hauling him in with me to shut him up. Once. It was a
learning experience for both of us.

I've had cats all my natural life and that's a considerable number ...
but have never had a cat who would get in the tub or shower
with me. DRAT! Looks like I've missed out on loads of fun.

I do love cat stories ... hope more chime in.

Our cat "Manga" snoozes in the basin until shower session is over.
Absolutely loves water.

Our black cat will get into the shower with us. He also likes a tub
bath and will let you pour water over his head with no problem. The
other cat, white, will not go near water if she knows about it.
Bengal cats love water and will seek it out to go swimming.
(No, not tigers, Google, "Bengal cat")

My dad used to shave in the tub. Our old tomcat would jump up on the
side of the tub and watch this procedure.

Until the morning he slipped on the side, and went into the tub. The
old man took to putting the cat out after that.

My parents had one grey cat (it was part Siamese though), that loved to go
outside in the rain so that she could come back in and get her towel
massage (see, you gotta train cats that love water to also love being
dried). She would even go running through the sprinklers when it wasn't
raining and then come running inside for her towel rub down.

I have a black cat (also part Siamese) that loves water. He bats at the
water in his water bowl. I've had to put a plastic placemat underneath the
water dish because he splashes it so much. He also jumps in the shower as
soon as it turns off (he hates the sound of the running shower though) and
plays in the water. Once he even jumped in the toilet, oi, that wasn't
nearly as cute (but at least he didn't mind the bath that followed too
much).

My other cat, a black and white stray, tries her darnedest to get up on
top of the tanks and go fishing. She's scared some of my tetras into
hiding for hours doing that. She'll also get in the tub on occasion, but
only when it's dry (and usually to chase the other cat). She too is a
bread stealer... she'll even stand beneath me when I make a sandwich to
catch a few crumbs.
