Sounds like a greenfrog or bullfrog tadpole.

I've been cleaning out the frog bog of leaves when I can. I want to get it all
ready by late March for any treefrogs who might show up. Today, freezing rain
and ice pellets to wake up to so not today!

I'm jealous of your big tadpole. I don't have frogs yet. I had a
bullfrog trying to winter in cannas roots a couple years back and when I
tried to cut the cannas back after a summer of growth I frightened the
frog and never saw him again. I'm hoping to attract some this year.
Last year I put some barrel ends with doorways in the pond for them and
the fish to hide under and the fish have taken to them quite well. I
know I've had a migrant frog or two because I've seen the droppings,
just haven't seen the frogs or frog tadpole.

My wife razzes me about the toad's and their mating call. I can't wait
to hear what she says about bullfrogs. :)

It rained here all day yesterday and the wind is blowing today. The
best thing happening here is 11 hours and 1 minute of daylight today.
Come on Equinox!

Regards,

Hal
