Acupuncture to the rescue or starting up the season

We've had several days in the high 60's hitting 71 one day, and it is
suppose to last a few more days. K30 reported hearing a Pacific Tree frog
up by the natural bog near our local grocery store. A sure sign to get the
frog ponds ready. K30, I know had done hers over the weekend.

I did mine today, and 9 hours later I finally finished. In my case, I not
only drained and mucked out the lily pond, I divided the lilies, dumped one
of the lotus and separated out the good tubers and replanted the best (for
me ;o). Vacced the leaves out of the blocks, finding 2 frogs. (I loosen the
leaves with a stick so they'd come out easier is how I found the frogs.)
Lilies & Irises got fertilizer tabs. One lotus looked to have already
sprouted, so I'm leaving it alone with the hope there's still room enough
in the tub for another season of growth. I also caught out the fantail fry
that had wintered over, about 3 dozen, multi colored, they're in the stock
tank.

Refilled the pond. Tomorrow I'll get my fountains going and will be
listening for serious frog music. Prior to coming in one did croak a few
times from the woodpile, as if to say, "Thanks".

Most of all I'm happy to report that the acupuncture treatments I've been
receiving this week appear to have kept my neck & shoulder aches at bay,
though I think my lower back is going to need some help. ~ jan :o)
