Need ideas. We are having trouble with our planters in the pond. We use
plastic pots and put kitty litter in as the planting material. But most of
the kitty litter ends up on the pond bottom. Guess the fish get in and rut
it out? Is there away to correct this?
We wonder if there is a way to put covers over the pots? Or a way to keep
fish out.
Thank you.

I use a top layer of 1.5" to 2.5" river stone to prevent this.

We use only rock. No kitty litter or dirt. Some folks have not had luck
with this option. Our plants grow like the weeds they are.
