good year for frogs

Is it just me or has this been a good year for frogs? I've had more than
ever and they've been busy makin' more. http://photos.yahoo.com/jeepin9557.

You have such a pretty pond -- a romantic environment if you will. They just
can't help themselves!

Wow, those a big frogs, Bullfrogs I presume? You got to admit though,
they're still cute when they crawl out on to a lilypad or WL, WH. I've got
all sorts of little hoppers in my garden now (tree frogs) most are only the
size of one's pinky nail, but I'm starting to run across adults too as the
population increases. 3 live in my koi pond filter.

The last couple years by this time I only had one male still croaking in
the pond (romantic action has been nil for a month now) this year I counted
5 still croaking. ~ jan

Actually they're green frogs...similar to a bull frog. Don't get quite as
big , sound a little different , and aren't as territorial as the bull frog.
Ive got a dozen adults and many young in various stages around here. I wish
I had some tree frogs to add a little harmony to these guys at night. Gets
very noisy all night long around here. Personally, I like their singing but
I'm waiting for some neighbor to complain. Can't wait to tell the cop ,when
he tells me to quiet my frogs...Ok officer I'll go have a talk with them.
