Received my plants today and have a few questions
 

I received my plants today:
Miniature cat tails
Bog Bean
Pickerel Rush
Thalia
Parrots feather
Arrow Leaf
Strawberry & Creme

The thalia was a great looking plant, had 4 nice stems with nice
leaves, however the stems got broken during shipment. They are not
completely broke off, but crimped so the leaves just hang down along
the stem. Since these are the only leaves, is it safe to cut them off,
or should I let it be. I assume I would cut the stems back close to
the main portion of the main stem, yes / no?

Miniature cat tails were kind of yellow and not all that great looking
but I assume they should make it.

The parrots feather is just a clipping of about 8 inches in length.
How do I go about planting this. Just let it float, or canit be placed
in a pot and submerged. Will it generate roots if its a floater? Its a
pretty darn nice looking plant, and none of my books tell me how deep
to plant it.

Planting depths are another concern. Different books say different
things, so I am open to suggestions.

My guess right now is the following planting depths:
Miniature cattails 3 or 4 inches of water above crowns
Bog Bean crown 2 inches below water level
Pickerel Rush crown 4 to 6 inches below water
Thalia.......dunno, I have depths stating 2" to 12" so I may try it at
6"
Arrow leaf, same as thalia, may try it at 6 or so inches deep
Strawberry & Creme, 4 to 6 inches deep
Parrots feather....do not have a clue! Pot at "X" depth, plant in dirt
in pot, weight it down or let it float??????

Any suggestions / info appreciated.
