Swollen, protruding scales?
This has been addressed before but I forget the solution. Perhaps someone
would be so kind to address this again. Thanks. One of our goldfish has protruding scales and looks very swollen. She is also very lethargic. Suggested treatment? Thanks, Heather |

If not on Ingrid's site, someone has posted a treatment for dropsy. Though
it is typically considered irreversible the ' source' reported good results. Hopefully someone will chime in. It involve putting the fish in water just barely to their dorsal fins and slowly (over days) filling the container. Sorry but I cant remember what else. Bill "Heather" wrote in message .. . my fish had a very full case of dropsy and was cured with Jo Ann's method http://www.mu.edu/~buxtoni/puregold/disease/dropsy.html with a pond fish the other parasites have to be controlled when the temp is run up.
