he is selling for $11.

yep, but they are the same EXACT lights harbor freight sells for less
than that, and if you catch them on sale which is about every other
month you can get them for under 6 bucks.

Those lights are identical to Harbor Freight lights.....which are
pretty decent for the price....I have never had a problem with them
other than the mounts which were easily re-engineered to be more
substantial, and a bit more moveable. Harbor Freights prices are also
cheaper especially if you catch them on sale.

Unless your only interested in having one or perhaps two of those
lights in use, its best to cut the plug off the cord and wire them up
to a more powerfull transformer like any other low voltage lights are
wired.......They all come with a transformer for each light, and all
those transformers could get to be a nightmare with a bunch of
recepticles to plug them into. Last count I have 8 submerged lights in
use, and when the creek comes up and floods my pond I have a lot more
submerged lights than 8. ;-)

The only real problem I have with the Harbor freight lights, is they need to
have a wider type lens on them, so the lights "diffuse" into a larger area.

That and the order isses I had with them last year.

I already addressed that issue on my lights. I did not like the
dimpled clear lens, and made a new lens out of clear acrylic, and in
the process I found I could make the lens retaining rings opening a
lot larger, which I did. I used a lathe which made it a 2 minute job,
but even with having to do that I consider them good for the money.
Now all but one of my lights have rthe same sized lens and if need be
are interchangeable. I made up a few spares, and I never use the
colored lens anyhow.

Your right on HF and shipping, it takes forever........and if you
think that time frame is long, just wait until you have to order a
replacement part for anything..............

The harbor ones aren't bright enough for me. I bought a rectangular
high beam headlight from Kragen and glued it to a brick, hooked up
some wire to it, sealed the wire with some roofing goop, stuck it in
the bottom under some flagstone, aimed it and hooked it to a 50w
Malibu timer/transformer. It works great.

I seen an online ponst where an individual made some nice underwater
lights form automotive sealed beams.....He used a cardboard box or
plastic container as a form and after he wiredup and sealed his wiring
connections, placed the headlingt bulb assembly in the form and poured
a slurry of sakrete in and around it to give it a brick shape and add
weight. Looks good and provides a heap of light. Cheap and easy enough
to make, but he considered it a one time deal as when the bulb burne
dout he intended to cut the cord close and reuse cord on another light
assembly. I had lights made similar but used old round type headlamps
that were not halogen and they do work great even non halogen types,
but they throw a yellowish cast in th water due to the type of
filament n the bulb as compared to the whiter light made by
halogens........Typical halogen headlamps are cheaper than the under
water lights but equal a lot more wattage and diffusion.

You can substitute a 35 or even a 50 watt bulb in those HF lights if
your water is relatively cool and its totally submerged. instead of
near the top......The wire gauge is heavy enough for the increased
load. I can't really recomend it, but, I have 4 of those HF lights
with 50 watt or 35 watt halogen bulbs in them and they show no signs
of overheating or deforming at all and have been working just fine
since I changed their bulbs.......The extra wattage allowed me to
place them deeper than normal and still get sufficient light
