Default *sigh* My Poor Blue Girls...

This week's rain (well over two inches this week by my rain gauge) and
yesterday's high winds left me a big surprise when I got home. Both of
my Blue Girls were canted over on their sides. *sigh* Soil was way too
wet to hold them in place with the winds yesterday. Immediate staking
and soil repair (in the rain may I add) was called for with the s.o.
laughing at me from the porch as I kept exclaiming "my poor, poor
babies" with my waist length hair a dripping mass. Fortunately DD,
Pristine and my new miniatures are still babies so they were unaffected
by the winds. My other roses were afforded some protection from the
wind due to - my guess - being up against the side of the house.

Hopefully, my BGs recover from the dreadful mauling they received from
the wind and rain yesterday. It's also supposed to be tapering off
today and the weekend weather is supposed to be nice so hopefully the
ground will get a chance to dry out a bit.
