Official process for naming a rose?
Hi,
I'm just wondering what is the official process for naming a rose and getting it out into the public? Last year, I planted some seeds from a self-pollinated Monumental rose in an open-air planter. None of them ever sprouted up... at least that's what I thought until I got a good look at a plant in my back yard that I had previously thought was a briar. This plant is definitely a rose, and while I haven't seen the blooms yet, its foliage is GORGEOUS! My guess is that a bird or squirrel raided my planter and dropped a seed. Anyway, this plant is beautiful and I would like to name it and put it on the market. How do I do so? Thanks! Jason |

Jason If you live in the USA, the American Rose Society website www.ars.org has information about that. Gail near San Antonio TX Zone 8 USA |
