Default Litchfield Angel - Heavy Bud Droop

Hi,

My rose bush has several stems, each with 2 to 3 buds on each stem. The stems are supported by canes, but when my first bud opened, it was too heavy for the thin bud stem causing it to droop.

The bush looks healthy and the open bud is perfect, but why is the bud stem so thin for such a heavy bud?

Thanks
