Help identifying 2 Roses

I have 2 roses I would like your help in identifying. The first one is a
climber that I got in the fall, bareroot. It "said" it was Joseph's Coat
and it finally bloomed---l bloom so far and it doesn't look like a Joseph's
Coat to me....any suggestions what it is?

The other rose is a H.T.---gorgeous pink/med. rose color. It has 40 petals
and a strong aroma. I bought it awhile ago and it doesn't have a tag. Most
of the roses I planted way back are now gone, so as I was reading over
"past" roses, I noticed I use to have a Tropicana...All the info seem to
point to Tropicana, but it is not orange. Any suggestions?

I live in Zone 10---southern California (Redlands). Thanks, Linda
Pics, hopefully, can be seen, under "Roses" at:

Hi Linda,

The second shot looks a lot like
my climbing America.

These look to have been just planted.
They look very healthy too.

Yup! Bright orange. It does
mellow to that salmon pink.
For some reason the blooms this year
are twice the size of last year.

Most of my basals are still
a shocking red too. Looks wierd right
now.

Theo

it does look like America, but it is definitely not a climber...I have had
it over 5 yrs....did America have a Hybrid Tea or grandiflora? I think it
is one of those sizes...buds were not orange---seemed red or dk rose, I
think? The rose is really more like that first picture in color....the
second shot made it look more salmon, which it isn't.

And any idea what that other rose is? It is a climber.

Thanks, Linda

Hey Linda

I can take stabs at it but
there are about a thousand roses
that have the same pink blend color
it is often impossible to be sure.

http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/searc...t&sltTyp=color

Go to the link above.
Select pink blend and see how many pop up.
You could flip through.

To just give you a short list of roses
you could match them against try
McCartney rose, Barbara Streisand
Admiral rodney,etc

Hi again Theo

I will go right now and check, but it is alll pink...so will look under
pink, or rose. Since it is an older rose, I am fairly certain it isn't one
of the newer ones like McCartney rose or Barbara Streisand. I thought it
might be Tropicana since I had once had that rose.....
