Winterizing Container Miniature Roses?

Winterizing Container Miniature Roses?

I'm in the Chicago area and my son gave me two ~18" ceramic bowls with
miniature roses this year. They've been kept on my patio, but I don't know
what to do with them over the winter.

Would bringing them inside work (extremely limited window space) or would it be
best just to plant them in the ground?

Thoughts, please!
