Default aphids on cuttings--how remove

Happy Fall everyone!

My JFK HT has been producing marvels blooms these past couple of
weeks. I have been cutting the blooms to bring inside the house.
However, there are often aphids and other tiny insects nestled inside
the folds of my roses. How do you remove the bugs before putting them
into a vase? I don't really want to bring aphids into the house with
the roses. A good shake of the flower head does not seem to remove the
tiny green buggers. Any suggesgtions?

TIA
Heidi
