Elsevier Academic Press has just release their new,
"Encyclopedia of Rose Science". This is a three volume set that includes
the complete listing of Modern Roses XI.

This three volume set seems to be an EXCELLENT collection of information
from world wide sources. It includes topics such as disease, insects,
classification,
genetics, biology, fragrance, propagation etc.

Although it is EXPENSIVE, $512.00 it is a very thorough reference for the
serious rose grower.

Ouch. I'm going to have to settle for the new RHS Rose Encyclopedia
that I understand is lurking under my tree. It's getting some raves
elsewhere so I am really looking forward to it!
