Sally Holmes as pillar

I've read some past posts on Sally Holmes and possibility of using it
as a Pillar Rose. Has anyone tried this. I got one last spring not
understanding the magnitude of it's growth. It's now trying to take
over the roof.

It's a rose trained to grow on a vertical structure.
A good description to pillaring and other structures can be seen at
the following address.
