Processing Marigold (Tagetes) Seed

(Jon Baker) wrote in message om...
Hello all,

does anyone have any experience of processing marigold seed. The seed
I deal with is generally de-tailed but its almost impossible to
seperate good seed from bad seed. This is because the seed tends to
clump together in the processing machines. There is a slight colour
difference between good seed (black most of the way along the seed)
and poor seed (more white at the end of the seed).

Any help, refs etc would be greatly appreciated.

Jon

Person working on Marigold about 10 years ago was Nelleke Wallenburg
in what is now called Plant Research Int. (Wageningen, Netherlands).
Don't think she's still there, but you might try Loek van Soest who
was the section head.
