End of season

First frost. We harvested the remaining sweet peppers and green
tomatoes. As an experiment I pickled a few of the small tomatoes.

At this time of year we take bagged leaves set out for collection...

A late spring and wet soil delayed our 2013 garden planting.

We have Sugar Snap peas, tomatoes, and eggplants in place. Lost a
couple of tomatoes to transplant shock but the eggplants are looking...

Frost damage

Last week a late frost damaged our sensitive seedlings. Most sweet
peppers were killed and a few tomatoes too. We replanted peppers. Alas.

Peppers transplanted

A dozen sweet pepper seedlings transplanted. These were bought today
at the Farmers' Market. Another step forward in the 2012 garden season!

Eighteen seedlings were transplanted today. Mulched, caged, watered.
These were "home starts" grown indoors under a fluorescent grow-light.
We had a bad experience with seedlings purchased...

Tilling done

We tilled our garden yesterday. Apex had a light frost last night.
Good thing we resisted the temptation to "rush the season" by setting
