heirloom tomatoes in Georgetown Texas and bhn 444
 

Hi Im pondering my garden experience this season. Im sorta bummed at
the BHN444 tomato. It didnt produce that well and maybe it was disease
resistant to some things but the plant just looked horrible. The only
tomato plant that did well in my garden this year was Snow White and it
was great though did get some disease! Im only now getting some
tomatoes on my bhn 444 and they arent that great. So Im thinking go
heirloom next year... and Im thinking go the route where you just each
year buy a bag of potting soil and plant each tomato plant in that bag
then after gone and no disease compost it. Is this a decent strategy?

Also what is a good heirloom I could use. Im pretty much in the mind
set every year its going to get some sort of disease...but I want a
good variety that I can get the seeds from and replant each year. That
I can get a decent yield.

So questions again:

Is my BHN444 experience yours?

What is a good heirloom for central texas?

Since I didnt get a response here on either Bhn444 variety or heirlooms
though I see past posts of (Jefferson DAvis) this is what a heirloom
seed company recs for our area...central texas not sure of how these
will do but if someone else is looking to try heirloom seed for central
tx this may be of a help to them....Lord Bless.
