Four O'clocks

My four o'clocks are beginning to produce seeds, and I am harvesting them as
they turn completely black. My question involves the "curing" of the seeds.
I had hundreds of them last year that I put in a plastic container with a
lid. They all mildewed!

(1) Should I allow them to completely dry out before putting them in any
kind of container?

(2) What kind of container is best, i.e., plastic, paper, etc.?

(3) Should they be refrigerated?

(4) When do I plant them? Outside, inside?

All of mine are fuschia. I would like to have some other colors, but I
don't know where to get them. I will be happy to trade some seeds and/or
plants with anyone who has other colors. These are the hardiest plants I
have ever grown!

Many thanks,

Linda Davis
