Roses from Marbridge
 

I would like to thank again whoever mentioned the Marbridge rose
sale; I've been wanting to replace my roses and couldn't afford it. I
managed to pick out 4 healthy roses, three of which are currently
blooming. One of them has 11 blooms--which is terrific. But now I'm
wondering if I should plant the blooming roses or wait until they
finish blooming?

It's delightful having cut roses in the house again.

You're welcome. I really like Marbridge, both for the plants and the
'cause,' so I hope I got a few folks to head out there for the first time.
Do try them again in the spring when their selection is a little spiffier.
They usually do xmas trees and poinsettias a little later in the season.

As for planting your roses, they've been outdoors, so they're acclimated to
those conditions. Also, the more time to establish roots before going
dormant for the winter the better. I'd harvest the blooms and plant now.

I planted most of mine, but at $3, I'm experimenting with trying a Paradise
in the hydroponic setup in my greenhouse. So many florist roses are
hydroponic, but I can find almost nothing about doing them as a hobbyist. I
just cleaned the dirt off the roots and put them in a five gallon dutch pot
and hoped for the best.
