Since that is the only one I planted, I can't help you with comparisons. The fruit is very good, once fully ripe. |

THANKS, B.
Fuyu is the one that I was going to go with, but just wondering if someone had a better one. Thanks, Gene -- E-mail: B.Server wrote in message ... I have a Fuyu and it has dropped fruit a lot later on in the season in
past years. Then I read that persimmons drop fruit from lack of water. So now, once it has some fruit, I know to keep it watered nicely. Fuyu is the less astringent variety and will not make you "pucker" even if you pick it a bit before it is ripe. Gene S wrote: THANKS, B. Thanks,
The orchard has a drip irrigation system, so that's not a problem. Glad to hear that the Fuyu has a low pucker factor. I mistakenly allowed my grandchildren to try a raw native persimmon, lost all confidence in grampa :-) Gene -- E-mail: "G a e X a v i er" wrote in message ...
