Hi. Can you please post in plain text only? Thanks!

Victor,

The poster, Rosalie, doesn't read this group. She is a volunteer, as are all
Texas Master Gardeners. I asked her to forward the Travis County Master
Gardener announcments to austin.gardening. I didn't think about the
announcments being in rich text as I am a simple sort of a guy :-)

The subject is not optimal for this group either. I suspect several people
thought it was spam, or of no interest. Rosalie has done an incredible job
of setting up a mail system to distribute the TCMG announcements to a number
of different outlets. I imagine it is quite daunting with everyone a
different lead time, a different format, and so on.

I'll contact her to see if something can be done about the format and the
Subject. If not maybe Fletcher at UT CS can help with a filter.

Dear Mr. Johnson,

Would you please pass on my appreciation to Rosalie for posting these to
austin.gardening? I found them informative and have marked my calendar.

Done. However her address is in the message and the From: header of the
posting, so you and anyone else can thank her directly.

Victor is right though, USENET posting are supposed to be in plain text. I
really appreciate that when I am out in the country in Verizon territory and
have to use a 28.8 Kbps dial-up connection :-(
